Penny Mayes

With a Middlesex University B A degree in three-dimensional design, Penny organised the degree show in London, gaining national television coverage. Following forays into exhibition co-ordination and freelance prop making for television advertising, she joined Trestle Theatre Company in 1982. Over the next twenty years she played a major role in establishing Trestle as one of Britain's leading theatre companies with substantial UK and overseas touring. Other freelance work involved trouble shooting and consultancies for a number of performance arts companies. She has extensive knowledge of the funding system having served six years on the Arts Council Drama Panel, the last three as Chair of Projects
